Do you love creating learning and meaningful days for students – both in the classroom and at the after-school center?
Then you could be our new after-school teacher!
Who are we?
With us, you work in a Montessori-inspired municipal organization where education, safety, and care go hand in hand. We are currently located at a temporary address in Klockaretorpet and are a group of dedicated employees who together support children and young people in their learning and personal development. Our facilities are well adapted for our school and after-school activities with an outdoor environment that encourages creativity and movement.
We work cross-professionally with teachers, student health, and other external functions to create the best learning for our students, in an inclusive and safe school environment. Here you will have a daily life where collaboration, equity, and student focus are not just nice words – it’s what we do every day. We work age-integrated in grades F-2 and age-homogeneous in grades 3-6.
Your tasks
As an after-school teacher at Norrköping Montessori School, you are an important part of the students' entire school day – both during school hours and at the after-school center. In this role, you plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching in the after-school center based on current governing documents and contribute to creating a meaningful, stimulating, and developing activity.
Depending on your subject qualifications, you will also teach art, music, or physical education, thereby enriching the students' learning further.
You actively work to create safe, fun, and learning environments where every student feels seen, included, and welcome. Together with classroom teachers, after-school staff, and student health, you collaborate in a common mission with the student's best interests in focus.
You are also an engaged part of the school's development work and contribute your ideas and expertise to continue developing the organization forward.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has a teaching license for work in after-school programs and qualifications in art, music, or physical education. You have experience working in both schools and after-school programs and feel confident in the role that combines teaching and care. With good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, you communicate clearly and professionally with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have a good understanding of the shared mission between school and after-school programs.
As a person, you enjoy working in teams, are solution-oriented, and have a warm and professional demeanor. You appreciate structure and clarity while being curious, development-oriented, and eager to try new working methods together with your colleagues. You maintain calm and a positive attitude even in stressful situations and can prioritize when the pace is high.
You adapt your leadership according to the situation and individual to best support students' development and can easily adjust to new situations. You are confident in facing challenging situations and actively work to create a respectful and safe environment for all students.
Welcome with your application!
